Recap of current season and a comment on next.

Well, going into this semester with a frikked up awesome sign up on Clubs Day, it was followed up by cancellations of practice times, practice outdoors until the sun went down and other mishaps not worth mentioning. However, even though we lost a couple of games in Wellington Tournament, we still did really awesome I think, with old players stepping it u a notch and new players making a grandiose effort! Well done team, thanks for sticking in there!

As for next semester, two very interesting tournaments are coming up, the Auckland tournament and the Christchurch tournament. I will fill you in on details tomorrow at practice. It doesn't matter if we are just a few going, there are spots on other teams where we can join in on the fun. And hey, both towns are frikking awesome to party in ;D

Wellington Tournament / Next weeks practice cancelled

Hi guys, Wellington tournament ended with us second to last. Not to despair though, we had an awesome time and even though we lost we had a few good runs ;). Also, the night out afterwards was.. ..interesting =D.

Also, practice on the 20th of May is cancelled due to Rec Center having re-launch night for their classes. See you all on the 27th again!

As the title suggests, first practice of the year tonight at 630 to 830!!

The old one that is, a photo from Reo landed in my email the other day. Aren't we pretty? It seems some people are not in it though, ah well, early bird says hi before he crosses the road.

Awards awards awards!

Massey Handball received a diploma for winning the 50/50 Social League (Dodgeball & Handball). Also Nathan is posing with a diploma for Alexandra Leander, individual contribution award. I nominated her because she has put a lot of work in organising our teams for the Wellington tournament as well as our own tournament, at the same time she is living partly in Palmerston North and partly Wellington, doing veterinary studies and gave birth, so yeah, well done Alex! And more importantly, thank you.

50/50 Social League Winners

Well done to all team members involved in winning the Massey University 50/50 Social League. Not completely unwinnable considering we are the only ones consistently training handball (the semi-final and final were played as handball games). Semi-Final win 10-7 against Mobility Scooters Manawatu and Final win against Pulse Sport 24-9. Well done guys and thanks for playing!

Thank you Alexandra for sorting out the tournament, thank you Jamie for organising the schedule and the scoreboard, thanks to the Massey team for setting everything up as well as taking everything down. Thanks to all the teams for helping out with refing and scorekeeping, making this tournament possible. I also saw some great handball and very fair play, maybe surprisingly fair play ;), but all teams fought well! Thanks guys and girls!
